Aims & Objectives

The programme aims to develop students’ individual creative growth and establish strong perceptual, analytical and conceptual awareness within the context of contemporary fine art practice. It enables students to achieve a high level of confidence and personal integrity associated with the best artistic practice, and to realise his or her potential as a professional artist. Graduates are multi-skilled and may pursue careers as independent professional artists or within the diverse industries and cultures associated with the fine arts.

Programme Structure

The three-year Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) programme is structured in four major studio areas, namely Ceramics, Painting, Photography and Sculpture. The applicants choose one of the major studios in which to work, with supplementary studies in Alternative Studio, Art History and University Elective. Time allocation of each academic year includes 3 semesters. Each semester includes 1 intensive week conducted by professors of RMIT University and 10 regular weeks conducted by lecturers of Hong Kong Art School. The programme consists of 288 credit points.

Medium of Delivery The medium of instruction will be in English.
Admission Requirements
Aged 18 or above with a demonstrated competency in art practice; or
Complete a minimum of 2AL and 2AS subjects in HKALE; or
Holder of Diploma in Fine Art or Higher Diploma in Fine Art from Hong Kong Art School; or
Mature student at age 21 or above; and
Good command of English.
( Applicants are required to present their portfolios during the interview.)
Annual Tuition Fee HK$ 66,150
Programme terminology is in accordance with partner university.
This programme is of high quality and has international recognition.
