Aims & Objectives
The programme aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge and skills in visual art. With the support of generic and language modules, students will acquire analytical, conceptual and communication abilities for further studies in Fine Art, Applied Art and Media Art disciplines.
Programme Structure
The programme requires the completion of 17 modules that consists a total of 46 credit units. Two third of the modules are core modules which put focus on the studio practice of visual art subjects. The remaining modules are generic modules that include languages and
communication skills. Upon completion of the programme, students will summarize their studies and make their own works at the Independent Final Project.
Alongside with the regular class meetings, supplementary and extra-curriculum activities will be arranged to enrich students' learning experience and campus life. Activities are mandatory to attend which include study trips, feature seminars and workshops. |

| Admission Requirements |
A minimum of 5 passes in the HKCEE, including CHinese and English or equivalen: OR |

| Holder of relevant certificates in visual art or equivalent; or |
|
| Mature student at age 21 or above. |
|

| Articulation Arrangement |
Students graduating from the Foundation Diploma in Visual Art will be qualified to proceed to the programmes of Higher Diploma level offered by Hong Kong Art School. |

| Pass for language subjects in HKCEE refers to Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (syllabus B) or from 2007 onwards, Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language, or equivalent. |

| Candidates are required to present their portfolios during the admission interview. |

| Candidates may be requested to demonstrate language proficiency, or attend corresponding language test(s). |

| Special Admission may be considered at the discretion of the School for candidates who can demonstrate exceptional excellence in their relevant protfolios. |
