Continuing Education Fund (CEF)

Selected programmes and programme modules of Hong Kong Art School have been approved by the Office of Continuing Education Fund (CEF) as the reimbursable courses (Reimbursable courses will be marked with a CEF logo in this prospectus). Eligible applicants will be reimbursed 80% of their fees, subject to a maximum sum of HK$10,000, on successful completion of a reimbursable course or module(s) forming part of the course (the claimant must pass the course assessment as required by the course provider). Education Loan

The Student Financial Assistance Agency (SFAA) of the Government of the HKSAR offers a "Non-means Tested Loan Scheme" to the students of the school's award-bearing programmes. Besides, full-time students of the accredited Higher Diploma programmes are entitled to grant and loan via the Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP) and / or the Student Travel Subsidy of the SFAA. Deduction of Tax for Training

Hong Kong Art School is approved by the Commissioner of Inland Revenue as a "Special Institute" and students may claim deduction for expenses of self-education, including the tuition fee and related examination fee should the course / programme taken in Hong Kong Art School is within the meaning of "a prescribed course of education". In general terms, a prescribed course of education means a course undertaken at a specified institution to gain or maintain qualifications for use in any employment. Deduction of Tuition Fee
1.

Full-time students will enjoy 50% deduction of the fee for Lecture Series of Hong Kong Art School.

2.

In-service teachers with a valid Professional Teacher Union membership card will enjoy 50% tuition fee deduction for Lecture Series, and 20% tuition fee deduction for activities run under the Artist-in-Residence Scheme of Hong Kong Art School.

3. Fringe Club members and the Friends of the Hong Kong Museum of Art can enjoy 20% tuition fee deduction for short courses, lecture series, workshops and activities run under the Artist-in-Residence scheme of Hong Kong Art School.
 
4. The Hong Kong Drama / Theatre and Education Forum Members can enjoy HK$500 one-off discount for Master of Drama Education / Master of Drama Education with Honours Programmes.
   
5. Group enrolment of 10 people or more onto the same short course of "Life Aesthetics" and "Life Enlightenment" will enjoy 10% deduction of the tuition fee.
6. Hong Kong Art School Award-bearing programme students would enjoy 20% deduction of the fee for short course of "Life Aesthetics" and "Life Enlightenment".
 

Regulations:

 
For each enrolment, applicant can enjoy only one tuition fee deduction offer.
Applicants eligible for the fee deduction scheme should inform the enrolment staff of their eligibility at the time of enrolment and provide relevant identity proof in order to enjoy fee deduction.

Places allocated for applicants under the fee deduction scheme may vary for different courses / workshops at the sole discretion of Hong Kong Art School.

Hong Kong Art School reserves the right to interpret the terms and conditions of this fee deduction scheme and change them without prior notice. In case of any dispute, the decision of Hong Kong Art School is final.
