Hong Kong School Drama Festival 2009/10 – 2010/11

Hong Kong School Drama Festival aims at encouraging primary and secondary schools to develop drama as a regular co-curricular activity. The Festival is organized in three phases namely the Training Phase, School Performance Phase and Public Performance Phase. Education Bureau had commissioned HKAS to organize the Festival since 2003. More than 500 drama teams from schools participate in the Festival.

Language@Art – Communication Tool Box

The Language@Art project aims to provide essential inspiration and creative nourishment to enhance the English communication skills of HKAS students. English Language Corners will be set at both HKAS Main Campus located at the Hong Kong Arts Centre and HKAS Shau Kei Wan Campus. Language workshops, art-related activities and tutorial sessions will also be conducted for the students.
Play for a new Horizon

This is an interactive drama education project for drug prevention education. Tutors will perform an interactive Forum Theatre to empower young people’s ability to say no to drugs and run Process Drama workshops to equip young people with knowledge about drugs and related issues so as to enhance their ability to refuse drug and promote drug prevention.
Using Drama for School-based Support on Enhancement of Guidance and Discipline Work in Schools

The objective of the project is to provide training of drama skills for teachers of Primary or Secondary schools with the aim of enhancing their professional competence in the delivery of guidance and discipline work.
