COURSE FEATURES
In this course, tutor guides the participants through the using of oil painting materials, teaches them the basics of colouring scheme, colour application techniques, texture processing and composition skills, etc. Various oil painting masters from different ages will be introduced in the course. While observing and learning the masters’ artworks and their art styles, participants will be able to easily grasp the oil paintings techniques and strengthen their understanding and appreciation of art.
- Instruction of color mixing and coloring

- Techniques in painting texture and 3-Dimensional effect
- Basic skills of landscape and still life painting
- Study of art masters’ works

TUTOR
Phillip HUI
Phillip HUI was born in Hong Kong. He finished the Diploma of Art from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London in 2007, and attained a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art degree from the RMIT University in 2011 (programme co-presented with Hong Kong Art School). Phillip uses oil painting and sketching as his main creative mediums, his works contain elements from both Eastern and Western classical art. He creates his art with allegorical ideas and fictional scenes to express human nature and different encounters in real life. Phillip also tries to explore the relationship and coexistence between people and the environment.
