Tutor
Marco Szeto
Born in Hong Kong in 1955, Marco started taking art lessons in 1967 from the late Lui Shou-Kwan, renowned master of modern Chinese ink painting. Marco enrolled at the Kung Shun Fine Art Institute in 1968, where he studied drawing and oil painting with Chin Chung.
Marco’s subsequent tutelage in art included watercolour painting under Dong Kingman, oil painting at the Italian school under Professor Chen Shou-soo and Chen’s wife Lattanzi Chen, and pastel painting under Francesca Bik-yu Wong.
Marco Szeto’s artistic journey spans across Hong Kong, Italy and Spain, mastering all sort of techniques such as oil, watercolour, Chinese ink, pastel and collage, to express his creative ideas, at fullest, casting away traditional boundaries between old and new, East and West. With his signature footprints left in over 60 countries and 50 exhibitions, Marco today teaches in various eminent universities in Hong Kong, whilst constantly exploring and fueling his passion for new artistic creations.
