Chinese Brush Painting I – Expressions of the Mind (Beginner Level)

COURSE FEATURES
From the introduction to the characteristics of the Chinese painting tools (e.g. the Four Treasures — the brush, ink stick, ink stone and paper) to the demonstration on various Chinese painting techniques (e.g. brushstrokes and styles).  This course is a gateway for beginners to the learning of Chinese painting, especially for those who wish to experience Chinese painting from a new perspective.  It also helps participants to develop their own Chinese painting style in accordance with seasonal themes.  Seniors and mature participants are welcome.

* Students will be informed of the materials needed in the first lesson.

LO Man Him Virginia
LO Man Him Virginia was graduated from the Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) (majored in painting) and Master of Fine Art programmes which are jointly presented by the RMIT University and Hong Kong Art School. Prior to that, she learned about landscape painting under the instruction of Chinese painting master, Mr. Liang Boyu. Then, she further studied landscape painting and character-painting with painting masters, Mr. Luo Zushan and Luo Guanxi respectively. She is currently a part-time lecturer of Hong Kong Art School.
