Chinese Brush Painting II – Expressions of the Mind (Intermediate Level)

COURSE FEATURES
This is a continuation of the beginner course. Students must gain solid basic understanding of Chinese painting skills in order to be able to further explore the combination of trees, rocks, water/cloud and figures in landscape painting.

In this advanced course, students will acquire the skills of creating a well-balanced painting of flower, birds/ insects/ animals. Further, students will be taught how to enhance the use of ink, brush and colour to improve the composition in their paintings.

Module Content:
(A) Flower Painting (Peony / Plum Blossom/ Orchids),
(B) Birds Painting (Pigeon/Eagle),
(C)Animals Painting (Rabbits)

* Students will be informed of the materials needed in the first lesson.

LO Man Him Virginia
LO Man Him Virginia was graduated from the Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) (majored in painting) and Master of Fine Art programmes which are jointly presented by the RMIT University and Hong Kong Art School. Prior to that, she learned about landscape painting under the instruction of Chinese painting master, Mr. Liang Boyu. Then, she further studied landscape painting and character-painting with painting masters, Mr. Luo Zushan and Luo Guanxi respectively. She is currently a part-time lecturer of Hong Kong Art School.
