COURSE FEATURES
A smooth ceramics work is common in daily life, but what if adding different textures and patterns on the artwork surface? Decorative technique is an advanced skill in ceramics, which emphasizes on texture details. The course starts from basic throwing and trimming techniques, participants will also be learning different surface textures and forms in ceramics, and create your own unique artwork.
* Students must bring their own aprons to lessons.

Horace HON Siu Chung obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) from the joint programme by Hong Kong Art School and RMIT University. He is passionate in the study of cultural values of the Hong Kong intangible cultural heritage of Guangcai (廣彩) to transform the art form into contemporary art, based on traditional elements. By exploring the relationship and possibilities of old and new cultures, he reinterprets the elements into his own unique style.
