
COURSE FEATURES
Every mixed-media artist has his/her own way of using materials, and drawing is a major methodology on thinking and considering their art practice. Drawing ranges from as traditional as pencil to colour drawings, and it can be as broad as using embroidery and marks in land art as its form for instance. In the course, it starts from composition to drawing, then evolve it into participants’ own mixed-media artworks. With the guidance and support of the tutor, students will create their own mixed-media artwork. A group sharing will be held at the end of the course.
Content:
1. Introducing relevant artists’ works and their methodology of creation
2. Using still objects to form composition for line/ quick/ experimental drawings
3. To develop participant’s own materials for making mixed-media artwork
* Students will be informed of the materials needed in the first lesson.

HAO Lap Yan Benjamin
Benjamin HAO was born and is based in Hong Kong. He was graduated from Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) (co-presented by RMIT and Hong Kong Art School). He was awarded MFA Interdisciplinary Art Studies by University of Hartford in 2018. His art practice examines the relationship among human being, nature and society, and his artworks stimulate reflection and new imagination. His works and projects have been exhibited and taken place in Hong Kong, China, Macedonia, Iceland and U.S.A.
