Professionalism in Art

COURSE FEATURES
This course is about professional practices for Artist and Art Practitioners. It aims at helping students maintain a practice that is viable. Topics will include building habits for creative professionals; art writing and documentations; creating portfolios; setting up an studio and preparing for a studio visit; planning group exhibitions and solo; working with non-profit organizations as well as galleries; writing proposals and applications for grants; participating in residencies and learning about the support behind artists.

WONG Wai Yin Doris
WONG Wai Yin graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2004, and the University of Leeds, UK (Master of Fine Art) in 2005. Wong experiments with a variety of media, such as painting, sculpture, collage, installations and photography. Her work is about autobiographical experience, episodic memory and playful intervention with art history.
