Colour Theory and Use in Oil Painting (Introductory level)

COURSE FEATURES
Understanding the intrinsic power of colour and its relationship with other visual elements in painting. The course content includes studying of Hue, value, saturation and its application in painting by means of individual expression.

Basic techniques including colour mixing, colour blending, rendering, impasto and glazing will be demonstrated in class.

* Students will be informed of the materials needed before  lesson.

LO Man Him Virginia was graduated from the Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) (majored in painting) and Master of Fine Art programmes which are jointly presented by the RMIT University and Hong Kong Art School. Prior to that, she learned about landscape painting under the instruction of Chinese painting master, Mr. Liang Boyu. Then, she further studied landscape painting and character-painting with painting masters, Mr. Luo Zushan and Luo Guanxi respectively. She is currently a part-time lecturer of Hong Kong Art School.
