Experimental 3D Clay Printing

COURSE FEATURES
3D printer enhances the way of object making and provides convenience. When using clay as the printing material, it is important to understand the limits and characteristics of clay, and how we utilize ceramics language in our creative practice.
During the course, participants will be familiarized with some basic operations of the 3D printer and software, also will try to manipulate the printed objects in experimental ways.

*Suitable for those who are interested in pottery and 3D printing, no prior experience is needed.
*Students should bring along aprons for classes.

TUTOR
Silvester MOK

Silvester Mok is a Hong Kong ceramic artist who works mainly with 3D printed ceramics. He has combined two of his favorite media, including 3D modeling and ceramics, to explore 3D printed ceramic forms.

After graduating from RMIT University in 2021, Mok has participated various exhibition, the 17th Fresh Trend Art Exhibition and was awarded the Fresh Trend Art Award. Later that year, Mok had his first two solo exhibitions “Moiré” and “Coherence” that marked the start of his art career. His works had then been selected and showcased at Art Basel Hong Kong 2022 and Fine Art Asia 2022.
