The Hong Kong Arts Centre and Hong Kong Art School are invited by the Hong Kong Sanitorium & Hospital (HKSH) to create artwork with the theme of “Hope” to bring comfort and inspiration to patients at the new hospital. A set of four paintings created by our HDFA Graduate Kathryn CHUNG Cheuk Wing are displayed along the 7th floor of the HKSH Eastern Medical Centre Tsao Yin Kai Block.

Yesterday, the HKAC team led by Mr Bryant Lu, JP (Member of the Board of Governors, HKAC) and the HKSH team led by Mr Wyman Li (Chief Operating Officer of HKSH Medical Group cum Manager (Administration) of HKSH) participated in the gift ceremony. Again, we would like to thank HKSH for their support towards HKAC.

This set of four paintings is based on the landscape, Sharp Peak, photographs taken by Kathryn during hiking. Through her works, she wants to inspire hope, peace, and tranquillity to the patients. She mentions, “we may travel across steep slopes or passing through dense forests. As long as we overcome the obstacles, embrace each present moment, and steadfastly move forward, we will reach the desired destination.”
