The Dialogue Bands

Exhibition Statement
‘The Dialogue Bands’ exhibition is now on show at Youth Square in Chai Wan. The paintings on display are created by students from the Hong Kong Art School and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia. Based upon a single piece of strip, the students embarked on a seemingly challenging art-making journey. Transcending the geographical boundaries, they communicated and exchanged ideas through emails, messages, video calls, etc. By giving each other inspiration and opinions, they successfully took their artworks to the next level in the end. It was undoubtedly a unique learning and creative experience for all students.
What kind of creations can you make with just a piece of strip? Starting today, you are welcome to visit Youth Square in Chai Wan, pick up a pen and paper to challenge yourself, and let your creativity run wild. ✨💭 Also, your artwork will be paired with somebody’s creation, allowing you to appreciate how others created different works inspired by the strip.
